In European reception history, the jungle is understood as a place of both fascination and terror. As a space of imagination and projection, it becomes a threatening, unpredictable element of nature, where one either eats or is eaten. The texts collected in alba 14 offer a contrast to this. They play with these narratives, deconstruct them, and oppose them with alternative poetics. “Históricamente, para Europa, la selva ha sido un lugar de fascinación y terror. Como espacio de imaginación y proyección, se convierte en un elemento de la naturaleza amenazante e impredecible, donde uno o come o es comido. Los textos que se reúnen en esta edición de alba contrastan con esta perspectiva. Juegan con estas narrativas, las deconstruyen y se enfrentan a ellas a través de poéticas alternativas”
